Koh Tao
Ban's Diving Resort
Ban's diving resort is perfect if you are looking for a 1 stop for everything. They have accommodations, restaurant, dive shop and even their own mini mart. The prices of diving in Koh Tao is relatively cheap. I remember staying with Ban's for 2 nights with a total of 7 dives (2 Morning, 4 noon and 1 night dive). I took a bus from the famous Khaosan street to Koh Tao with a ferry transfer to get to the island. The total price I paid for was about 8500 Baht which is about 350++ SGD. The dive sites in Koh Tao are generally Open Water friendly which is very similar to the usual place Tioman where most Singaporeans head to when they take their open water certification. Lastly, from my short period of stay on Koh Tao, the day with the night dives are the opposite alternate nights from the nights that they have pub crawls. Lastly, there are tons of dive sites that you can reach from Koh Tao, a perfect pit stop for divers.I visited the following dive sites: - Twins- White Rock- South West Pinnacle - Chompong
More about Koh Tao
Koh Tao is a beautiful island filled with so much activities that can last you for at least a week. If you love to party and dive this is the go-to Island for sure.
When I first arrived in Koh Tao I was amazed at how everything you need was within walking distance. They have bars, resorts, convenience store and tons of restaurant that serves different cuisines. One of the highlights on the island was the pub crawls that happens on alternate nights, to be part of this amazing pub crawl all you need to do is to pay 400 Baht to be part of the 200 party animals. The 400 baht is inclusive of one bucket of alcohol and a singlet/shirt for you to put on so it acts as your "entrance ticket". The alternate nights of pub crawls were opposite from the alternate nights where night dives were happening which was perfect for me where I could get the best of both! Hit me up if you have any specific questions with regards to the Island I will do my best to assist in anyway I can.
